The catalog was last updated on October 24, 2026. That date covers the prices, the options on offer and the ratings you see on every product card of this site.
We update on a schedule. Each run asks again for every color, ring size and pack of each of our products. A price that moved is replaced on the card, an option that ran out leaves the card, and a pack that comes back returns on the next update. If a price at checkout differs from the one on our card, the checkout price is the one you pay.
Ring sizes, sheet capacities, tab counts, page counts, paper weights and tip sizes come from the product data of each item. The three tools on our home page are arithmetic and plain rules, and each one prints its rule next to the answer.
Four claims appear on our products, each only on the products that carry it: ink that conforms to ASTM D-4236 on the fineliners, acid-free paper in the 100gsm notebook, PVC-free polypropylene in binders, dividers, protectors and folders, and recyclable polypropylene where a product says so. The public sources below explain what each claim means. We read every one of them on October 24, 2026, and our journal articles link the sources they rely on.
The public sources we read Sources
U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Art Materials . Under the Labeling of Hazardous Art Materials Act, art materials need a toxicological assessment at least every five years and a statement of conformance such as "Conforms to ASTM D-4236", whether or not a hazard is found. ASTM International, Standard Practice for Labeling Art Materials for Chronic Health Hazards . ASTM D4236 sets out how precautionary labels for art materials are developed from a toxicologist's review, and it says labeling cannot by itself ensure completely safe use. Library of Congress, The Deterioration and Preservation of Paper: Some Essential Facts . Acids, from the paper itself or from its surroundings, break down the cellulose in paper in the presence of moisture; acids that form in alkaline paper can be neutralized by its alkaline reserve, and good paper kept in good conditions can last hundreds of years. Library of Congress (NARA Bulletin 95-7), Establishing a National Policy on Permanent Papers . The acid in older papers speeds their decay, the alkaline papermaking process extends paper life by many decades, and permanent paper is defined as paper that lasts several hundred years under normal use and storage. Library of Congress, Care, Handling, and Storage of Works on Paper . Papers keep best in acid- and lignin-free folders and polyester sleeves, stored cool, dry and out of strong light, with acidic papers kept apart so their acids do not migrate. U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, How to Preserve Family Archives (papers and photographs) . Ring binders are among the safe album bindings, sleeves and corners should be made of stable plastics such as polyester, polypropylene or polyethylene, and unknown plastics or PVC are materials to avoid. U.S. National Archives and Records Administration, General Considerations for Rehousing and Preservation Processes . Plastic boxes and enclosures made of polyester, polypropylene and polyethylene are often stable and inert, and a product containing polyvinyl chloride (PVC) should never be used. Library of Congress, Care, Handling, and Storage of Photographs . Suitable plastic enclosures for photographs are made of uncoated polyester, polyethylene and polypropylene, and they let an item be viewed without taking it out of its sleeve. Federal Trade Commission (Electronic Code of Federal Regulations), 16 CFR 260.12: Recyclable claims . A product should be called recyclable only if it can be collected and recovered through an established recycling program, and the claim must be qualified when recycling facilities are not available to a substantial majority of consumers. Federal Trade Commission (Electronic Code of Federal Regulations), 16 CFR 260.9: Free-of claims . A claim that a product is free of a substance must be true, and it can still mislead if the product contains something with the same or similar environmental risks. Federal Trade Commission, Green Guides . The FTC Green Guides help marketers avoid environmental claims that mislead consumers, including how to qualify such claims. National Institute of Standards and Technology, Writing with SI (Metric System) Units . A typical US office page measures 8.5 by 11 inches, which is about 215 by 280 mm. International Organization for Standardization, ISO 216:2007 - Writing paper and certain classes of printed matter — Trimmed sizes — A and B series, and indication of machine direction . ISO 216 is the international standard that specifies the trimmed A and B series sizes of writing paper for administrative, commercial and technical use. Kansas State University, Academic Achievement Center, Cornell Notes . Cornell notes split the page into notes, a narrow column of key information pulled out after class, and a short summary written in your own words. Kansas State University, Academic Achievement Center, Leitner System . The Leitner System sorts flashcards into stacks reviewed at different intervals, and it is meant for regular, consistent study rather than cramming. Questions about a figure: binders@itssuin.com .
